We specialize in personal protection. The current response time for a Police Officer to respond to a call is 10-15 minutes, when it does not involve a situation with firearms. Our schools are plagued by bullies and frankly there are not enough teachers to be able to police the school,or to constantly monitor and/or intervene and prevent bullying / fighting. This means that you have to take personal responsibility for figuring out how to provide your family with a first line of defense.
Our school can provide you/your children that first line of defense. We do this through practical self defense training, bag work, and one-on-one contact drills with other students. We do not do any katas(forms) work, they provide no real contribution to self defense skills. We have the students role play to learn to deal with feelings of fear and uncertainty. This builds confidence and self esteem.

Sun Mountain Dojo is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The martial arts style we teach is called Modern Ninjutsu™ founded by Grandmaster Maier. We offer a children's version of the art called Bushiko. This system teaches the student the ability to defend themselves in a stand-up fight, using punching, kicking, throwing and weapons. It also has techniques that allow the student to defend themselves on the ground, in the event they get knocked down. Thus we teach a single, "complete", martial arts system.
Most of you have heard the old saying, "jack of all trades, master of none." Since we are focused on teaching a single, complete, martial arts system, we are not disctracted by the latest martial arts fads, thus are very good at what we do. Our programs provide these benefits:
